Thanks to everyone who came down to Night Market on Friday! Some of you even came wearing your Foxspark Deisgn art! It was a beautiful night, and I’m still feeling the fill-up of smiles, hugs, and laying eyes on friends who make New Haven the amazing community it is.

And the biggest gift was having one of my dearest friends of 20+ years be my right hand gal for the night - what a difference a friend makes. We had so many joyful moments, and she sold more of my pieces than I did! Pouring into friends is an act and so is accepting the support of friends. Sometimes we forget it must go both ways. Thanks for the reminder Elise 😘

Looking good for tonight! 🌛🌟 New Haven Night Market 5-10pm. Music, activities, food, beverages, and ART! Come out and support local artists and businesses.

Made a few new pieces - experimenting with Albers squares and other inspo. Exhausting the buckthorn dye pot from electric yellow to muted tones perfect for indigo overdye. 🖼️

Color theme of the day…. YELLOW!

Phew. ArtWalk was a gorgeous blue sky sunny day and we had a steady stream of friends, and convos, and shenanigans.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and said hello. Thanks to everyone who was curious about my natural dyeing process.

And clearly all things YELLOW were catching eyes and going to happy new artful homes. Even got to see a friend’s VeryGayVeryBusy line of bags out in the wild!

And the cap to the night was a food truck circus in the park. Can’t get much better than this for a neighborhood party.

This weekend - it’s time! Westville Artwalk on Saturday, May 10th 11am-4pm. Come down to Westville to see all kinds of local artists, music, food, dancing, the DUCK RACE! Check out the West Rock Fringe for spin art and porch music.

I’m building up quite an inventory of new bandanas, shawls, updyed clothing and framed prints. Lots of inspiration from lots of places. A rainbow of colors! 🌈

Get your local gift-giving elf self to the Anti-Mall this coming Saturday, December 7th from 12pm-6pm! Lotta Studio in Westville is hosting a selection of artists with a variety of holiday gifts. Stay for the Westville Tree Lighting to really enjoy the holiday vibes!

I’ll have new naturally dyed bandanas, shawls, scarves, pocket squares, vintage napkins, and framed pieces for sale. Come by for one-of-a-kind slow-fashion, art-you-can-wear (or hang on your wall) gifts for loved ones (AND for yourself!)

Earlier this month I was invited to facilitate a creative experience for a dinner of Badass Women up in Boston… I had so much fun exploring and and to find just the right old to become new again craft elements for a collaborative collage with the theme of “legacy”…. Such a beautiful evening of stories and gettin’ crafty! Anyone else interested to gather with badass women in these days and times? We’ve got some work to be doing in the world!

Last up close for the bandana inspo pics… modern quilts and Moroccan doors. So much fun to add a spin of color, echo the design in new ways, and come out with a completely new piece. Hopefully these bandanas just might inspire other art ideas!

More bandana inspiration sources - stained glass and stunning quilts.Translating designs from different mediums and using the natural dye paints that I make, along with the process of taping designs, painting, and steaming. There’s a lot of love that does into each of these! Share ideas you’ve seen and think could look snappy on a neck scarf 🧣

Spring has sprung! Creating new bandanas, and building up inventory for upcoming spring markets! There’s nothing quite as lovely as a fresh breeze on a clothesline…

I’ll be sharing some of the design inspirations for these beauties this week… I find sparks just about everywhere!
