Hi Friends,  I am heartbroken to announce today that Reunion Shoe Company will be ceasing operations on November 15.  Over the past four years, we walked with our program members through each of their unique sets of circumstances, while also providing work, mentorship, and counseling. We also created products that we hope you, our supporters, could wear and love.   Social enterprise is a difficult thing. Sometimes people describe entrepreneurship as trying to build the plane as you fly. If running a "normal" business is this difficult, then starting a social business is the equivalent of trying to build the plane in time for it to gain enough momentum to get off the runway. Unfortunately, we ran out of runway to fully craft the business side of our organization.   In the next few weeks, we will be working with our program members to try to find them their next jobs. We will start by offering them other positions within our non-profit, The Restoration Initiative, and work from there to make sure we continue providing as many supports as possible.  We will also be running a sale to try and liquidate as much of our inventory as possible. The rest will be donated to organizations doing important work. Every year, we switch our mini shoes over from keychains to ornaments, and then back again post-Christmas. Regardless, our tiny shoes make great gifts in either keychain or ornament form! Let us know in the notes when you purchase which version you'd like.

"After we paint our shoes, we have to wait for them to dry.
