NOLA Couture was established in August of 2006 in New Orleans, Louisiana. We design and produce men’s and women’s clothing and accessories inspired by New Orleans and Gulf Coast culture. Tied to our local roots, we care deeply about the community and donate a portion of all sales to a variety of charities and non-profit foundations.

New Orleans native Cecile Hardy fou

nded NOLA Couture in August 2006 as a personal effort to help rebuild southern Louisiana in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Hardy worked as a Merchandiser for Gap, Inc. in San Francisco for five years, working in its Global (US, Europe, Asia, and Canada) Women’s Outerwear and Items department and then its Girls Department (knits, wovens, and denim) for the European Market. After Gap, Hardy accepted a position with Williams-Sonoma home, doing buying and product development for its Textile, Upholstered Furniture and Lighting departments. After Katrina devastated Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region, Hardy put her career on hold to help her city recover from the storm.

Inspiration from the Community
After Hurricane Katrina, Hardy came up with the concept of NOLA Couture, a clothing line that is inspired by the New Orleans culture and the Gulf Coast region. NOLA Couture is based around the community it is built upon and is dedicated to helping rebuild southern Louisiana in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. We donate a portion of all sales to local charities that are contributing to the rebuilding of New Orleans and Southern Louisiana. Since our inception, we have helped over ten local charities and foundations, recently teaming up with the Greater New Orleans Foundation to help in its Gulf Coast Oil Spill Cleanup effort. Since the news of the oil spill, NOLA Couture began donating $5 of each sale of its Shrimp Cocktail and Gulf Oyster ties to the Cleanup Fund.

Our Products
NOLA Couture designs and produces a line of men’s and women’s clothing and accessories. At the heart of our line are our men’s silk ties, all with small motifs that are inspired by New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. Favorites include whimsical motifs such as “Gulf Oysters,” “Gulf Redfish,” “NOLAgators,” “Fleur De Lis,” “Shrimp Cocktail,” “Streetcars,” and “Second LIne.” NOLA Couture also designs T-Shirts, Club Belts, D-Ring Belts, Dog Collars and Leashes, and Key FOBs. We are excited to announce our launch and expansion of the Women’s Accessories line to include tote bags, makeup bags, beach hats, headbands, wallets, purses and much more!
