heartbreaking news. after 126 years these two families that have been one of the cornerstones of "Little Palermo" are closing their doors. This is what happens when the city approves permits without a plan to support businesses during times of massive infrastructure updates. if youre in town this summer, please support your neighborhood businesses. screw the grocery store. eff amazon. its use it or lose it this summer, for real. an $8 poor boy can hold me for 2 days...can your trader joes do that??

Was it a ✨smart move? Meh. Was it the *right* move?? Absofreakinlutely. Did I research what permits were on file for Dumaine? Of course! Did that matter? lol. no. honestly, I’m glad I didn’t know. I may have hesitated on the biggest pivot of my life.
