Earlier this week, a massive glacier collapsed in the Himalayas, sending a deadly wall of water, ice, and debris through Nepal and Tibet. We’re heartbroken and thinking of all the people whose lives were impacted.

We know climate change is a real problem that continues to worsen, and its consequences are not felt equally. Our latest blog post examines the climate crisis from the perspective of the people who make the world’s clothes. We hope you’ll take a look.

Ikat weaving is extraordinarily intricate.

The weaving process itself is a math problem—one that’s been refined and passed down through generations.

But I worry about this art form staying alive.

The younger generation living in the villages where these fabrics are made often aren’t interested in taking on their parents’ work. And honestly? It’s hard to blame them when big tech jobs offer more money and a different kind of future.

That’s why, at Passion Lilie, we’re so grateful to work with Mahesh from Natural Loom—a young person himself who believes in carrying this tradition forward. People like Mahesh are the reason these techniques survive.

The wild thing about fair trade fashion? While we’re getting ready to launch one collection, we’re already sampling for the next 🌿

Because handmade garments take time. Real time.

Unlike fast fashion churning out new styles every week, we release just two collections per year—each piece thoughtfully designed and made.

These beautiful photos were taken by Hina, our new Production Consultant, during her recent visit with our ikat weavers.

As a small business owner and mother to a wonderful toddler, my mind is always a running to do list. Can anyone else relate?! I don’t think I would be able to function without the Notes app on my phone. When these thoughts float through my head, I try to put them down on my to do list as quickly as possible to free up the space in my brain.

Of course, you could always do the old fashion way- a notepad. I must get my list making skills from Dad. I remember visiting him at work and there was always a notepad with a To Do list.

Oh and I almost forgot to mention (speaking of To Dos), this reel features a little sneak peek of some of our new Fall 2026 pieces launching next week!
