🪩 What’s This Magical Night?
💛 Time After Time… with your help and WanderLost Foundation, we’ll be there when it matters most!

This night?
It’s not just prom. It’s not just a throwback.
It’s a love letter to the ones who’ve been quietly carrying the heaviest loads.
The caregivers. The exhausted parents. The people behind the kids fighting for their lives.
You may know me (Amanda Will) as that I’m a hot-mess mama of three amazing kiddos — one of them bravely battling leukemia.
This past year turned our world upside down. Hospitals became our second home. I kept showing up even when I had nothing left, like so many caregivers do. Our older kids have had to miss so much alongside our whole family!

But I quickly learned: even with incredible support, there was nothing in place for me.
And if it was hard for me… what about the ones who don’t have the support I do?

That’s why I started the WanderLost Foundation.
That’s why we’re throwing this magical night.
And that’s why you being there matters more than you know.

If I am being really honest... I didn't actually know what Leukemia was when the doctor said that was their "concern". Like I said yesterday... I think the blank stare on my face was enough for her to finally say the "C" word.

I knew it wasn't something good... I knew the way she was telling me that C**t was pretty sick BUT I didn't think it was as serious as CANCER!

I mean... you hear the stories and your heart breaks for those children and families but never did I EVER think it would happen to us.

June 10th will forever take my breath away...
this was the date that I heard those dreaded words that no parent is every ready to hear...
"The concern is Leukemia... (insert LONG pause by the doctor and I am sure a very blank face from me) CANCER."
Excuse me... WHAT?!
There's NO way she just said that MY CHILD has CANCER... RIGHT?!
This has to be a dream... I mean NIGHTMARE!
And so began our fight against Multiple Phenotype Acute Leukemia (MPAL): is a rare type of leukemia where leukemic cells express markers from both myeloid and lymphoid lineages. It's a difficult diagnosis to make and treat, with a generally poor outlook compared to other types of acute leukemia. MPAL is characterized by the presence of both myeloid and lymphoid blasts, either in separate populations or within a single blast population.
