I completely empathize with DC Young Fly’s loss and I understand his grief and regret. However this man made his ENTIRE career out of calling women ugly and putting women down. Absolutely not blaming him for his partner’s loss, but men forget we catch wind of their “jokes” and their locker room talk. How can we believe you actually think we’re beautiful when you simultaneously putting us down? Yes there are women who get surgery for themselves, but you can’t believe that the power of words can “save someone” and not think everything you say could have an effect.

Imaging being an astrophysicist at NASA or something of the sort and you discover a massive asteroid hurtling towards earth. You single-handily pick a group of the best scientists and engineers to build a rocket according to you schematics that will change the asteroid’s course. The launch goes off without a hitch and you successfully save the planet and everything and everyone on it. You come home, relieved to live another day, only to have your boyfriend say, “that’s great and all, but you still can’t make mac and cheese as good as my momma. Also these dishes ain’t gonna clean themselves”
