MELKE's first and possibly only sample sale!

As I was going through my storage unit last week, looking at previous seasons I felt both excited and sad. Excited because I was so proud of all I created over the past 5 years and sad because the pieces were trapped in boxes!

I decided I'd rather see some of my favorite pieces out in the world instead of keeping them locked away.

So! Tomorrow is our one day sample sale! Sizes range from xs to xxl and these are all one off pieces! Once they're gone they're gone!

It's no secret that we love pleating here at MELKE, that's why it was so special to wear a pleated dress for my court wedding ceremony (a year ago today). Pleating is an incredible craft, and has been perfected by our friends at Tom's International Pleating. As a student, I worked with Tom's on my final collection, which makes this piece all the more special, a wedding dress made with them, not as a student anymore but as a business owner.
