For the past few days, I stepped away from the sewing machines and into a different kind of project.

I wrote and illustrated my first children’s book, Apple Downtown Dog, inspired by my little Yorkie, Apple, and life on New York’s Lower East Side.

It’s a reminder that creativity doesn’t have to stay in one lane.
