Almost three weeks ago, our Instagram business account was hacked in a phishing ransom attack. We’ve followed all the steps in Instagram's self-reporting process and filed a case, but we haven’t heard ANYTHING back. Our business relies on our Instagram presence, and this issue is significantly impacting us. The silence and lack of support from Instagram is truly unbelievable and simply unacceptable from a company like .
We have reported this to the FBI and NYPD, who have been more responsive but they can't get our account back.
We need someone's help to resolve this issue immediately. Meta for Business Instagram, please address our case urgently. Our business and its reputation are at stake.
We are going to keep publicly shaming Instagram until this is resolved, and we will continue to escalate our outrage. Our next steps will be contacting our political contacts who already hate , the New York attorney general's office, the New York consumer protection agency, and pitching this to our press contacts (anyone The New York Times interested in running a story on how bad Instagram's support is? A company worth 2 trillion dollars can't afford to have a help desk for the 1000s of hacks each day?)
