What we choose to put on our bodies can make a powerful statement. ’s ICOE Shower Curtain and Flood Garmen is strutting its way to this month! Co-curated by , exhibits work by 15 international designers “who see fashion as a mission”, pushing the boundaries and thinking critically about social systems.

In an effort to limit excess waste, the ICOE Shower Curtain and Flood Garment are primarily constructed from excess shower curtain samples provided by who utilize 100% BPA and PVC-free EVA. Fully functioning inflatable collar and waist wrap panels made from TPU coated nylon, airtight valves, heavy duty snaps and paracord complete the critical look.

In the moment that the shower curtain is torn down and the garment is removed, a state of emergency is declared by the individual. By removing the coat and waist wrap on a "regular" day and choosing to wear them, the ICOE object becomes a statement garment, using fashion and self expression as a public mode of not only sparking dialogue surrounding the climate crisis but also acting as a reminder of accountability and community resilience.

Upstate of Mind: “...The region north of New York City is bursting with old and new art initiatives…” Helen Toomer’s Stoneleaf retreat is designed for womxn and families because, as she explains, “their need to escape, rest, recharge, and /or create is great, especially at this turbulent time when their rights are being attacked globally”
Toomer created Stoneleaf as a place for artists to connect with nature, art, and be nurtured in their own artistic practices alongside a safe and welcoming environment for their children. Extending the residency to women with children gives the artists time and space to reconnect with their creative practice at a particularly creative transition in their lives.

Toomer notes that the land now called Stoneleaf has been enlivening and inspiring people from the time of the original land stewards, through its Colonial and early American chapters, until now. They hope for that to continue. "With a house this old, you realize you are just custodians of something larger than yourself and you'll only have a short time before someone else owns it," says Toomer. "So we really try to use our time wisely."

To sum things up, “this s**t takes time,” in the words of member .sellers_ of .s.ii .We are thrilled to share that Erica’s Solar Flare coffee table is now available on via Madrid based gallery .ateliers.platform!

Solar Flare is composed of cast resin and fumed glass, with a mirror top. The origins behind the work take meaning from the sonification audio procedure used by NASA to visualize sound data. Whether it be a beep from a heart rate monitor, or, in this case, when stars come into contact with a black hole, sound can be visualized accordingly -- or interpreted into a work of art. ‘Sun Sonification’ is an audio clip from NASA’s public domain, and is converted into a visual soundscape. ‘Sun Sonification’ is further abstracted by manipulating it into shapes and surface textures for Solar Flare.

To see more of this amazing piece, purchase the work (ed of 25) or inquire about custom finishes, visit artsy.net at the link in bio.

.ellis.studio’s new surreal Illumination Series will bring style to your home and lift your mood on these imposing, dark winter days. Celebrating the beauty of the bizarre, Carmen’s new collection was inspired by artists such as Man Ray, whose photography isolates the human form, showcasing the individual parts as artworks unto themselves. “I designed this collection intentionally vague, not showing too much. You only see part of the body, keeping the works a bit ambiguous and letting the viewer’s imagination take the object's story in their own direction.“ -Carmen
