our favorite way to tie off the end of the hand sewing thread

step 1: hold end of thread against thumb and loop around pointer finger twice
step 2: gently roll the loop off of pointer finger
step 3: holding with your thumb and middle finger snap into a knot

it's easier done than said believe it or knot* see what we did there?!
