Confidence building is super important for kids. While learning to tie really helps, there are other ways we can help our kids grow into strong people.☺️ Here’s one way that might be somewhat frustrating for us, but super effective for them 🙌

Let Them Help You In Your Work💪

Children who suffer from low self-esteem feel bad about themselves and think that they cannot do anything. If you call them and ask them for their help, they will feel that they are being valued. They will put their heart and soul to aid you in your work.

And no matter what they do, whether it is really good or something that you did not want, always praise them for trying. Teach them that trying is as important as succeeding. To be good at something they must try it out first.

Thanksgiving traditions . . . Who’s got em?

Leila and Blake decided our family needed one this year so they created one. They asked us for an egg and a turkey (the Moana chicken was the closest we could find). The adults hid the turkey and the egg. The kid who found the egg won a dollar and the kid who found the turkey also won a dollar. Kind of a spin on the Passover afikomen. At the end of the day, all of the kids won a dollar…. Smart kids. It was also cute and kept them busy for a good ten minutes.

Check out Leila’s new adidas Stan Smith sneakers! All decked out with .🤩 Sure, she already knows how to tie, but lacing these sneaks with GSL has other benefits… ⭐️(1) They help to remind her when she gets stuck on her tying technique; and ⭐️(2) They look so much cooler than the white laces the shoes came with.💯
For reference, Leilas sneakers are size 2 (with 5 pairs of eyelets) and are laced with 38 inch Gold Star Laces AND they are double knotted. (Because Leila does not like her laces hanging…she definitely knows what she likes😳).

Building a small business is hard work, but I keep this in mind and tell my children the same thing. We have to keep trying. Over and over again. So go climb those monkey bars and take those risks!
