Hi, I’m Michelle. 👋
I help with social media, and thought it would be fun to do a takeover every few weeks to share what it’s like working for PerfectDD and with Alice.
If you’re been following, she talks about being diagnosed with ADHD recently. Here’s my take on working with Alice. I hope I’m still your favorite person after this post! Lol.
A call with Alice can start with next week’s LinkedIn content and, five minutes later, we’re discussing a partnership, a new product idea, and something she saw online that we should probably post about immediately. 😅
Her mind moves quickly.
My job is to catch the idea, write it down, and then gently bring us back to what we were originally supposed to finish. Focus.
To keep Alice on track and ensure things are executed, I know to ask:
“Did you approve the captions?”
“Did you shoot the video?”
“Post during our call.”
Some days, I’m a social media manager. Other days, I’m a very polite reminder app. 😂
But Alice is also BOLD. She says what she thinks, asks the uncomfortable question, and is willing to try ideas that other people might overthink.
I don’t think that boldness is necessarily an ADHD thing. That is just Alice.
Working with her has taught me that managing a fast-moving founder is not about slowing down every idea. It is about helping decide which ones need attention now and making sure the important tasks actually get finished.
Anyone else work with someone whose brain is already five steps ahead?
P.S I hope you engage on this post I would hate for Alice to fire me 😬okay thanks.
