Usually I wait until January to clear out this year’s leftover show stock and to start fresh. But why am I waiting when you could be enjoying a steeply discounted robe now? I have a wider range of sizes this time, but of course very limited stock in general. Take a look at ThreadCircus.com/sale.

Robe full length. Definitely has the 70s housecoat vibe I was going for, except instead of polyester fabric and fill, it is all cotton inside and out.

It’s almost ready. I posted this fabric from and in April thinking I would have this new model in June. Well, things were delayed and life took a detour and here it is August already! I wanted a 70s inspired duster style for this fabric that has a little psychedelic vibe, so that is what I did. I will post more illustrative photos after I wash it, on the mannequin, and with me modeling it. But here it is, literally hot off the sewing machine.

Assortment brought to . I’ll be here in Kingston NY for the weekend. Come see me and try on a robe. I’m dangerously near the bar again, so buy a robe and I’ll cover the cocktails.

Finally finding a purpose for my impulse: collecting vintage lace and doilies. Now upcycled into a collaged vest to take to . Should I try it on a robe next?

Working on some vests today to take to Spring Mrkt May 31st - June 2 in Kingston, NY. I make the vests from leftover robe scraps. This fabric is from the Schiele Stripe robe.
Field +Supply is an independent brands pop-up/show/fair with a design focus, but a wide range of goods. It is fabulous. I personally want to buy everything, and I am honored to be among that company of exhibitors.

Moms Love Robes. Or at least I do. I didn’t even own one until I had a baby. Then, being able to put on a full garment in 2 seconds meant less time listening to the wailing and more time doing the soothing, feeding, changing. Only downside was how awful ugly most robes are. I didn’t want to accidentally catch myself in a mirror in that. So when my sister gave me a vintage robe from the 30s, it was eye-opening and ultimately inspiring. You can look great in your robe! That’s why moms love Thread Circus robes.

Feeling a little pastel-ish for spring, so I had the Floral Explosion fabric quilted “wrong” side up. Made a frosty heather effect overall. Coming to my website this weekend.

Robe inspired by a dressing gown from the 1890s in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum. It was created in Japan for the Western export market. Now on my website in 2 colors, and black is coming soon.
