I've said it hundreds of times, and I still mean it: I've never met anyone like Katrina! She's walked alongside me the entire time I was working to figure out what COMPOSURE was to become and what made it unique.

I recall one day we were in the gym together, and I looked at her with deep sadness in my eyes as I expressed how painful things in my life had become. She shared with me then: "Baby, everyone experiences hardship. Just keep going." She embraced me for several minutes in the middle of the gym floor, and that was all I needed. I'll never forget exactly how that played out.

She's wearing my very first look for COMPOSURE. Today, it's so clear that this was a beginning because the logos were huge and everywhere, marking my infancy in the design process and my excitement about getting started. Good times... lessons learned.

Shortly after the New York City photo shoot, I was blessed to connect with Marcel and Faraz. They both came with modeling expertise and unique looks that I knew would be beneficial for my development as a designer and for the evolution of the COMPOSURE brand. This was my second major photo shoot, and it was a busy set; I had two photographers, a videographer, and a Creative Director. At the time, this was a big production for me.

Monika proved to be strong, yet versatile in this shoot, making me understand the ways activewear looks can be dressed up or be gym-ready! Sarah brought a chiseled body to the shoot, which introduced an entirely different aesthetic to future COMPOSURE designs into my awareness.

While these looks will not transition into the new COMPOSURE brand, these people taught me a great deal about myself, styling for individual clients, and how to work with unique looks while staying true to (what I envisioned as) the future version of the COMPOSURE brand. This shoot made me realize the importance of bespoke design, and how it can make each client feel like their best self.

In New York City, I experienced my first significant photo shoot, transitioning my models from DC to work under the guidance of Darryl Dwayne and showcasing COMPOSURE's initial logo. Despite some dissatisfaction due to not using my own designs, the shoot proved to be a valuable learning experience. I focused on networking, negotiating, and sourcing - skills vital for sustained success in fashion. It also involved refining my skills in styling, directing, and modeling. During this period, marked by self-consciousness and lack of self-love, I was also photographed, but I never shared the images. During this time, I became aware that "something" in my life was shifting, signifying the start of my spiritual awakening journey.

COMPOSURE's inception was initially centered on creating distinctive activewear for the gym. However, it evolved into a personal journey of self-love, healing, and designing a life filled with confidence and composure. It taught me the importance of resilience, clarity, and vision, profoundly influencing my personal growth and the brand's future direction. COMPOSURE symbolizes more than just fashion; it represents a journey of personal growth and the discovery of love.

I created these leggings to fulfill a need for activewear that genuinely motivates the wearer. They feature words like "power," "energy," "love," "move," and "inhale." My goal was to embed mental cues on the garment that encourage specific behaviors or inspire certain thoughts, such as "love" and "flexibility."

I placed these leggings in what I call "The Motivation Series," reflecting my aim to motivate clients throughout every aspect of their earthly journey. However, these leggings will not stay in the catalog and will not advance to Version Two.

I am content to let this design become a part of COMPOSURE's evolutionary history and am excited to reveal the designs that will make it into Version Two as the new COMPOSURE emerges.

This garment, tailored specifically for her and this photoshoot, includes extra room allowing Por to move freely during the shoot. However, when you place your order, I can customize it to fit your body perfectly.

I adore silk! What better way to display the Ascension Heritage Pattern than by combining it with a premium fabric in a sexy, yet casually fun design! The creation of this design was a delightful experience, as I imagined a beautiful, confident woman wearing it to a brunch in South Beach.

This set will continue to be available in the Catalog and will evolve into Version Two, coinciding with the new phase of COMPOSURE.
