Grateful, proud, and a little giddy to be part of Mother’s Box—now reaching 80 families, with three months of food boxes already delivered (beans, grains, recipes + nutrition handouts + BOOKS!). Beyond the pantry, this program is improving nutrition education and food security while also building cooking confidence, reducing grocery stress, sparking bilingual story time, and strengthening community bonds across language—kids trying new foods, caregivers sharing culture, and neighbors connecting around the kitchen table. 🍚📚💛
For Month 5, Curio contributed a bilingual picture book + simple print-friendly activities that help families name feelings, practice courage, and embrace new routines—perfect for a box centered on whole grains and everyday nourishment.
In a time when it’s easy to feel divided, Mother’s Box reminds us how much joy comes from sharing food, stories, and care.
Huge thanks to our partners: NYU Langone Health, Glynwood Center for Regional Food and Farming, and the Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC). We’re honored to grow this together. 🫶
