Not-so-fun-fact: Women spend an average of two weeks more per year, than men, getting dressed.
..So I decided to make the base layer that would make getting dressed easier once and for all: the Underwire Camisole! 😉

I made the Underwire Camisole because getting dressed was just too hard. I never had the right thing to wear under tops and blouses - some things were too bulky, too thick, too stretched-out, etc. I needed a single thing that gave me the support of an underwire car, combined with the coverage of a camisole. When I couldn’t find it anywhere, I decided I would make it myself! And thus, the Underwire Camisole was born.

I built my business, Sophy by Sophia, out of need.! needed a better base layer to wear under tops and blouses. My underwire bras provided support but no coverage. My camisole tank-tops provided coverage but no support. I realized my life would be easier if I had a single garment that did both - when I couldn’t find it anywhere, I decided I would make it myself! And thus, the Underwire Camisole was born.

I’ll be honest - my first sample of the Underwire Camisole was white. I was wearing white camisole under everything, so I thought this would be the obvious next month.

As I started selling, the most common piece of feedback I heard was, “Where’s the black version.” And sure enough, I did a black production run as soon as I could!

And this is pretty much how it happened - I got tired of seeing clothes sit in my closet, unworn because I didn’t have the right thing to wear underneath. Everything was too low, too see through, or both, and I HATED wearing too man bulky layers.
