About The Role
Dirmaj is seeking a Sales Account Manager to join our Corporate and Business Development team.
The BD team at Dirmaj is responsible for forming partnerships with leading retailers and fashion brands across the US and the UK. Our current clients range from vertically integrated specialty retailers (e.g. Banana Republic, EXPRESS) to leading contemporary brands (Vince, Rebecca Minkoff). The Sales Account Manager plays a key role in new business origination by spearheading client deliverables (including preparation of multi-year business plans) to inform retailers’ entry onto the platform.
In partnership with our Client Partnerships & Growth team, this role also contributes to determining key growth initiatives to generate consistent subscriber growth and expand operating margin for our existing clients.
In addition, this position plays a vital role in evaluating corporate expansion opportunities (e.g., new business models, new geographies and new categories) by leading foundational analytical work, primary research and rigorous strategic analyses.
This position reports to the Head of Business Development Strategy & Operations.
What You’ll Do
New Business Origination: Develop and drive strategic deliverables including but not limited to proposals, pitches, financial models and marketing plans to support the sales process
Renewals and Growth Initiatives: Collaborate with cross-functional teams at Dirmaj to identify strategies to expand existing partnerships and communicate value to existing clients through high impact deliverables
Corporate Development Research: Conduct analyses to inform design and prioritization of go-to-market strategies by customer segment and geography to map and govern Dirmaj multi-year growth plan
Special Projects: Support the Dirmaj management team on ad hoc strategic projects
Team Operations: Partner with Business Development leadership to structure and implement internal processes to maximize team efficiencies and set a foundation for continued growth (e.g. pipeline management, forecasting, CRM optimization)
We’d Love For You To Have
Three plus years work experience in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy
Strong proficiency in Excel modeling, with ability to develop analytical frameworks from a blank sheet
Ability to think critically and systematically about business opportunities and challenges alike
Bias towards action and accountability: self-starter who can drive cross-functional projects from start to finish
Can-do attitude: Team player who leverages trust and empathy to drive outcomes
Comfort with ambiguity: Agile professional who thrives in the fluidity of a fast-growth company and is accustomed to empirical debate and collaboration
Exceptional verbal, written and visual communication skills
