Hi, Fashion Friends! I’m Stephani J, the face behind Shop Stephani J Style!
Many of you know me, but some of you don’t. So let me take an opportunity to introduce myself.
1. I was born in a tiny town in Central Florida. The town my childhood home is in has one stoplight, that’s how small we’re talking!
2. I’ve always been a little different. Whether it was dressing differently, or thinking outside the box - I always felt as if I didn’t quite fit in. Which in hindsight, was a blessing!
3. Fashion and style have always been a part of the threads of my life. Very early on, the fashionista in me was apparent, as I practiced draping extra fabric my grandmother had when I played dress up or elevating a dress from goodwill for my freshman homecoming dance.
4. I’m a God girl. Everything I’ve done, have, or have experienced is due to His abundant and generous blessings and provision. None of it was me. All glory and honor belongs to Him.
5. I haven’t always worked in the fashion industry. I was a vocal music teacher in the public school system for 13 years before making the transition to fashion.
6. Over the last 5 years I’ve worked diligently to build my portfolio and learn from some of the best in the industry. Currently, I’m freelancing as an assistant stylist at Ralph Lauren. But I’ve worked with stylists to help style celebrities. I’ve styled and helped style editorial magazine shoots like, Harper’s Baazar, InStyle, Beautica Magazine, and Flaunt Magazine to name a few. And while I still have so much to learn, I’m grateful for every opportunity I’ve been given!
7. Now I’m about to embark on the journey of becoming a boutique entrepreneur and business owner, and I’m so excited for you all to get a front row seat to the fashion and style that Shop Stephani J Style will bring to the table!
