Since everyone is nostalgic for 2016 I’ll share my take. 2016 was the year my dolls took over my life. In 2015 I got burnt out from being a fashion designer and began painting again after my mom died. Those paintings turned into the dolls that took over my life. I started selling them at stores across the country and the world. I also started a new artsy cosmetic bag and handbag line that year that would take me across the world. I started selling at Paper Source, Shopbop, Lord and Taylor and lots more. Perhaps my favorite part of 2016 was creating custom dolls for Sia and getting to go to her concerts. 2016 was a fun time and yes I spent a lot of it sewing and stuffing dolls. I was also a blonde. I’m not sure if blondes have more fun, but they do spend more on bleach. I’m so glad I was able to turn my grief into fun whimsical artwork that would be in thousands of homes all over the world. I’ve got lots more to come so follow along on my art journey! Also look at how little my nieces were in the last slides. They have so much KAHRI stuff 😂

Goodbye to 2025 and the Metrocard! The metrocard may be retiring but the Metrocat lives on forever! 2025 was full of traveling and pop ups and creating custom illustrations for amazing customers! Here’s to 2026 and a year that will bring more art and joy. I love seeing people smile and laugh when they see my work. Life is too short to be too serious. Art should be fun. I would love to do more live illustrations and custom work in 2026. Let me know if you would like to collab. You still have a few more days to shop KAHRI at the Herald Square Holiday Market before we pack up and hibernate for winter. We’ll be open till Jan 3rd! Let me know what else you’d like to see from me in the coming year. Thank you to everyone that shopped KAHRI Pop ups and thank you to the stores that carry KAHRI and for the wonderful events we were able to take part of in 2025. You allow me to create art and I wouldn’t be able to do it without you 😃 ❤️ 🎨
