Yesterday, we honored Juneteenth.

Today, we carry the reminder forward.

Freedom is not only something we commemorate. It is something we protect, expand, and express.

At NOIR Fashion Week, we honor the creativity, excellence, resilience, and cultural power of Black people across the diaspora.

As we move toward NOIR Fashion Week Kenya, we recognize that Black expression is global, layered, ancestral, and now.

From the diaspora to Kenya, we honor the beauty of a people still creating, still rising, and still shaping culture.

A partnership rooted in culture, connection, and purpose.

We are proud to welcome Shamba Cafe & Shop as the Official Private Show Event Partner of Noir Fashion Week Kenya 2026.

As we gather under this year’s theme, The African Code, Shamba provides the perfect setting for a global conversation on identity, heritage, innovation, and the future of African creativity.

More than a venue, Shamba is a place where stories are shared, relationships are built, and culture comes alive. Together, we will welcome designers, industry leaders, media, buyers, and changemakers from around the world for an experience designed to celebrate Africa’s creative excellence.

The African Code is more than a theme, it is a living archive of memory, craftsmanship, resilience, and imagination. And there is no better place to begin that journey than at Shamba.

An iconic partnership. An unforgettable experience.

I hope you are on the Ticket Waiting List ✨

Some designers create clothing.

Others create change.

Noir Fashion Week Kenya is proud to introduce Samir Maombi, founder of Kolakisa, a sustainable fashion brand based in the Kakuma Refugee Camp.

Through .kisa , is transforming plastic and textile waste into wearable art while providing tailoring and design training for young people and single mothers. His work is proof that fashion can be both a creative force and a catalyst for community development.

But his vision extends beyond the garment.

As the founder of Turkana Fashion Week, Samir is working to launch the first-ever fashion week within a Kenyan refugee camp—creating a platform that celebrates the more than 21 African cultures represented throughout Kakuma and the Turkana host community.

His story reminds us that innovation is not defined by geography, resources, or circumstance.

It is defined by vision.

Join us in welcoming a designer who is redefining what fashion can achieve and who is building opportunity where others see limitations.

Welcome to Noir Fashion Week Kenya, Samir Maombi.

Visibility is only the beginning.

At Noir Fashion Week, we believe that talent deserves more than applause, it deserves opportunity.

That is why we are proud to announce Delight Technical College as our Official Education Partner for Kenya 2026.

Together, we will award two full scholarships in Creative Arts to aspiring creatives ready to invest in their future and turn their passion into purpose.

Because the next generation of designers, photographers, stylists, artists, and creative leaders don’t just deserve a seat at the table.

They belong here.

Fashion may be our language, but impact is our legacy.
