1. Qigong every day. It’s an ancient Chinese practice that moves the energy in and around your body through coordinated physical and breathing exercises. This might sound woo woo, but I can literally feel the energy moving and always feel lighter and more alive afterwards. I credit it for moving me out of a period of stagnancy in my life and beginning to create positive, forward momentum.
2. Setting up energy boundaries every morning. Usually I’ll say I’m going to send out 90% love and light to others and only take in 10%. These numbers are on a sliding scale and can change whenever you need them to. For example, some days I’ll say 80/20, 70/30, or send 100% love and light and receive nothing (that’s only reserved for the days I know I’m in for a ride). Because there is so much always going on around us, it can make such a difference to filter what can and cannot enter your energy field.
3. Speaking out loud what I want to have happen in my life. This exercise I do pretty much every day without fail. When people say speaking things into existence works, or that the spoken word is powerful, they really mean it. Some huge things have occurred in my life after days/weeks/months of speaking out loud that they were happening. This was of course paired with aligned action - the perfect combo 😉
4. Crying when I need to. I find that when things are getting intense or heavy, letting it out through crying creates such a deep release. It’s quite literally allowing the emotions to move through you. 10 out of 10 times you will feel so much lighter afterwards and like you can begin anew.
5. Praying to God, the Universe, and deceased past loved ones. Believing that there is something greater beyond us takes off some of the pressure of having to figure everything out ourselves. I truly believe there is so much divine guidance available out there for all of us, we just have to ask and be open. Prayer in all different forms can change your life.
These are just a few of the habits that have made my life easier.
What are some of yours?
