Inspiration

Does God see goodness when He looks upon us? We easily become disheartened with this question as we begin to count our sins. We’ve made poor life choices, we become quick to anger and we covet others’ belongings. Although God sees each mistake and reviews each poor decision, He is merciful! He calls upon us to ask for forgiveness, making it possible for our sins to be washed away. He sees our true hearts and the goodness held within.

Prayer

Dear Lord, We are thankful for Your desire to forgive us when we sin. You are merciful and we find comfort knowing you always see the goodness in our hearts. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Inspiration

Prayer groups are extremely important for us as individuals and as a community. Through prayer, the impossible is made possible and our daily battles are fought on higher ground. As spiritual friends, we comfort one another through struggles, celebrate joys and bring others to know Christ, our Lord and Savior. Gathering for prayer strengthens our faith and community with one another.

Dear Lord, Guide us to become more intentional about praying together with our brothers and sisters in Christ. We ask your blessing to become stronger spiritually as individuals and as a community. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

Inspiration

God’s mighty hand created the dry land upon which we stand. It is the foundation that makes our steps sturdy. Our life journey takes us through various terrains. There are high lands, lowlands and steep mountains that will need to be climbed. With all that walking, it’s inevitable that we stumble from time to time. Therefore, we rely on our friend and Savior, Jesus Christ to help us regain balance and continue our walk along the narrow road we must travel.

Prayer

Dear Lord, we are grateful to have a friend like Jesus, a friend who laid down His life for us and continues to walk beside us on the road of life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Inspiration

We do not have the ability to understand God’s wisdom and goodness. We are in awe of the simplicity in which He created the very air we breathe and land we walk upon. He already had our human bodies in mind as he prepared the components of the atmosphere. He designed each of us with the same attention to detail and created within us all the power to overcome obstacles.

Prayer

Dear God, we are in awe of Your power and knowledge. Thank you for creating within us the ability to overcome obstacles we face this day. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Inspiration

Little drops of water are harmless when scattered across the kitchen floor or dripping from the roof after a summer rainstorm. Interesting how those same little drops combined, form the mighty waves of the ocean and become a force not to be reckoned with. When Christians are unified, we become a mighty force so we may accomplish the work of our Lord. We must make fellowship with one another a priority in order to strengthen our faith as we continue our ministry.

Prayer

Dear God, We are blessed to work alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ. Help us encourage one another as we continue our ministry. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Inspiration

We celebrate many milestones through the course our lives! Anticipation fills our heart on the first day of school, the first day on a new job or the first time driving alone. We experience pure joy over the birth of our first child or the purchase of our first home. Changes are usually met with a little anxiety because we aren’t quite sure what the future holds. Let us remember that God is always present as we celebrate each new beginning. He calms our hearts as the future unfolds.

Prayer

Dear God, thank you for being present for all our new beginnings. Please redirect any anxiety we feel as You provide countless opportunities for growth and change. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Genesis 1:4

And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

Inspiration

Light and dark simply cannot be combined. Sin is the darkness that separates us from God and this did not please Him so He sent Jesus. Jesus’s death on the cross paid the price for all our sins. He was the ultimate sacrifice, our light in the darkness. The sin abounding in our lives will be abolished and we will be united in eternity once again.

Prayer

Dear God, we walk in the darkness of sin without You. Thank you for sending your Son to die on calvary and pay the ultimate price for our sin. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Inspiration

When God decided there should be light, He simply spoke the command and there was light! He has the power to move mountains with the wave of a gentle hand and part seas with a gentle whisper. It’s incredible to be so small and loved by a heavenly Father so mighty. In the face of danger, we have no fear. Our Father is always with us, making our footsteps sturdy as we walk upon the very ground He created.

Prayer

Dear God, we are humbled by Your great love. Thank you for protecting us in our daily walk with You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Inspiration

Our lives feel dark and void during seasons of sadness. We often struggle with emotions of fear or loneliness when dilemmas become overwhelming. It’s comforting to know God’s presence is consistent. His Spirit moves through our hearts, allowing us to regain hope in moments of hopelessness and light in seasons of darkness. Our Father’s love has been in existence since the very beginning and will follow with us to the end of time.

Prayer

Dear God, thank you for continually moving within our lives to create awareness of your presence when we are troubled. You are a light in the darkness and our hope amid a broken world. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Inspiration

Nature is designed with immaculate perfection; it is a pleasure to view with our human eyes. Lush trees provide shade to blooming flowers below while robust little bees swarm back and forth amongst them. We enjoy the crisp, clean breeze as spring rolls in after a long bitter winter. This world is filled with beauty! We are blessed to be present amid its glory, fortunate to reap from its bounty. Let us praise God for the gift of a beautiful world this day.

Prayer

Dear Lord, We love the wonderful world You have created. Thank you for its beauty and all the provisions You’ve created within it. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
