🪩✨Happy New Year✨🪩

It’s been a little while since I’ve posted and I just wanted to share an update and my plans for the business!

For those who don’t know, after the hurricane hit, I closed my store, packed my things and followed my dream to move to NYC. It was by far the most difficult decision that I’ve ever had to make. But what most folks don’t realize about creatives is that it is our literal job to dream and to chase the unimaginable and that’s a part of me that had been tucked away for a long time. I was caught up in the day to day without realizing that I have bigger dreams that need to be fulfilled. And that’s not saying my store wasn’t a dream but I realized it was also holding me back from doing the things that I love most.

Sooo here I am, living in my dream city, in my dream apartment (I got a one bedroom which if you know anything about NYC that’s a dream in itself 😆) and I’m about to start 2 jobs that are both giving me my dream schedule so that I can focus on my business and creativity! Everything lined up perfectly so that I can chase what I’m meant to be doing.

I’ve taken a lot of things into consideration, thought about everything I love and don’t about RC and what I’ve been missing most and I’ve decided what my focus is going to be.

So what am I planning on doing?!

In 2025 I’m getting back to my jewelry designs! But it won’t be anything like it’s been before. I’m focusing on my passion which is bold, unique, and one of a kind earrings and necklaces! I’ll no longer be doing the minimalist designs, you can find those anywhere. I realized I was just trying to reach too many audiences and aesthetics while loosing my own.

As a sustainable designer I have to remember my identity and purpose which is to bring beauty and sexiness to sustainability.

I am taking a break from vintage clothes because I have bigger plans with that.. but that’s for a later date 😉

My business is always growing and evolving and I hope that never changes! I appreciate all the love and support I’ve received and I cannot wait to show you guys what I’ve got!!

I’m sure by now most of you know that I’ve made the hard decision to close my doors..

This space has been a dream come true, and I’ve poured my heart and soul into it, but the challenges facing tourism and all the unknowns since Helene have made it difficult to sustain. Making this decision has been incredibly hard, but my heart and gut are leading me to take Roam Collective in a new direction.
I am endlessly grateful for the time I’ve shared with each of you and for the opportunity to bring this dream to life. This is not the end for Roam Collective—just the end of our brick-and-mortar chapter.
I hope you’ll continue to follow along as we begin this new journey.
Stay tuned for more announcements soon. I’ll be open Friday and Saturday 12-6, Sunday 12-4 and Monday 12-6 and I’m running major sales because it’s all gotta go to make room for all that’s next!! I’ve got $20 racks, everything else is 40% off (minus the jewelry) and so much killer Fall/Winter inventory, so please stop by for a visit, shop, and a hug!

As we’re navigating this catastrophic event, the shop will remain closed until we know our community is safe.

It’s taking me a few days to wrap my head around the complete devastation that has taken over our beautiful city and WNC and I’m still at a loss and not sure if I’ve fully comprehended the pain, damage, and suffering my community has endured and the long road we have ahead of us.

I’m not sure what the immediate future holds for my shop, my small business, and my livelihood but I know that myself, my business and my community will come out stronger than ever.

We’re safe in Atlanta but will be returning in a couple days to bring back supplies to our friends and neighbors so please reach out with whatever you need big or small!

A lot of our city is still out of power there’s still no water and supplies are extremely limited, if you have the means please look into donating to Asheville, they’re working day in and day out to help our community through this devastating time.

We will bounce back, together.

It’s the first of many pop ups at the shop and I’m stoked to start with one that’s so special to me!!

On Memorial Day Roam Collective is hosting a local badass designer of upcycled clothing and who’s a badass designer from NYC is coming down to showcase her killer upcycled clothing as well! You don’t want to miss it!!

The event is Monday the 27th (Memorial Day) from 12-6! We’ll have sips and snacks and the dopest sustainable clothes out there!!

Our brick and mortar is turning one!! 🎉🛍️

It’s wild to think it’s been a year already!! I mean if I’m being honest, it’s felt like 8 but I think that’s just how every first year feels like.. right?! 😅 (back me up business owners 😏)

Needless to say I’ve learned A LOT!

It takes a village to open and run a shop and I’m so grateful for everyone who helped to get it open, who’s worked at the shop to give me a day off, who’s come by with encouragement when I’ve needed it the most, and those who have continuously showed my shop love by shopping, liking and sharing my posts, and who have helped spread the word!! I truly couldn’t have done it without all of you and I’m forever in awe of each and every one of you! Us small business owners don’t forget even the “smallest” of gestures because to us they mean everything!!

I love you all and to thank you for being so fabulous, I’m going to throw a party for Y’ALL!!

We’re technically turning 1 on the 10th but I feel like parties are for Saturdays.. so save the date for NEXT Saturday May 11th 12-8!

We’ll have food and drinks, major discounts, new inventory, a couple of guest artists, and a beautiful space to hang out and spend the day!!
