ELASTIC FOR MASKMAKERS COVID19 DELAYS
To the MASKMAKERS who have received shipping notifications:
WE HAVE BEEN INFORMED BY FEDEX THAT THE 2 BULK TRANSBORDER SHIPMENTS THAT LEFT OUR WAREHOUSE ON 3/31 and 4/1 CONTAINING OVER 400 INDIVIDUAL PARCELS HAVE BEEN DELAYED AND WILL NOT CLEAR CUSTOMS TO THE USA UNTIL AFTER THE EASTER SUNDAY HOLIDAY. THE BORDER OPERATIONS HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED FOR HOLY WEEK AND WILL NOT RESUME UNTIL MONDAY.
We sent you a shipment notification by e-mail when your order shipped from our warehouse on 3/31 or 4/1/202.
The shipping notice was sent to inform you that your package left our warehouse, in Mexico City. Your package was transferred to a FedEx Truck where it shipped to a FedEx distribution center in Laredo Texas. When your package arrives in Laredo it is scanned into the FedEx ground system and travels to you via FedEx Ground or Home delivery.
If you check the status of your shipment on the FedEx system by clicking on the link we sent in the shipping notification you will only see "Delivery Date Pending" and "Label Created". Unfortunately this is the only information that is provided by FedEx while the shipment is en-route from our warehouse to their distribution center. SOME OF YOU RECEIVED DELIVERY ESTIMATES FOR 4/6 -4/8 WHEN YOU CHECKED THE FEDEX LINK - THIS WAS GENERATED BY FEDEX - THE INACCURATE DELIVERY ESTIMATE WAS PROVIDED BY FEDEX BASED ON NORMAL DELIVERY TIMES
This shipping method normally takes 5-10 business days from door to door to any destination in the USA. The time to reach Laredo is normally 1-3 days, but due to the coronavirus outbreak, clearance at the border was delayed.
BECAUSE THE SHIPMENTS ARE ALREADY IN ROUTE IN THE POSSESSION OF FEDEX WE CAN NOT CANCEL OR STOP THEM - THEY WILL BE DELIVERED THE WEEK OF APRIL 13 - ONCE THE PACKAGES CLEAR IN LAREDO YOU WILL BE ABLE TO VIEW ACCURATE DELIVERY ESTIMATES BY CLICKING ON THE FEDEX TRACKING LINK THAT WE PROVIDED.
WE WERE ORDERED TO CLOSE OUR WAREHOUSES AND OFFICES IN NYC AND NJ AND WE CAN NOT ACCEPT RETURNS UNTIL AFTER MAY 1 WHEN WE WILL HOPEFULLY RE-OPEN
IF YOU CAN NO LONGER USE THE PRODUCT BECAUSE OF THE SHIPPING DELAY WE WILL BE ACCEPTING RETURNS AFTER WE RE-OPEN OUR OFFICES AND WAREHOUSE IN THE USA. IF YOU REQUIRE A RETURN - PLEASE DO NOT OPEN THE SHRINK WRAPPED PRODUCT WE WILL ACCEPT UN-OPENED SPOOLS AND CARDS ONLY, AND WE WILL PROVIDE RETURN INSTRUCTIONS
WE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU MAY BE UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED BY THIS SHIPPING DELAY AND WE ARE VERY SORRY - WE HONESTLY THOUGHT WE COULD DO OUR SMALL PART TO HELP PEOPLE ALL OVER AMERICA TO STAY SAFE BY PROVIDING ELASTIC FOR PROTECTIVE MASK MAKING DURING THIS TERRIBLE EVENT BUT DUE TO UNFORESEEN SHIPPING DELAYS WE HAVE ADDED TO YOUR BURDEN AND WE ARE TRULY SORRY.
