From day one, HOLD has designed, prototyped, sampled, and produced everything in-house and with our local partners. We don’t slap a logo on cheap blanks or email sketches overseas and pray — we do all the dirty work ourselves and that’s how we like it.
We’ve spent the last year developing our Standards with one goal: make them your go-to staples this spring. We thought this would go smoothly (or as smoothly as anything in fashion can go) but we ran into some bumps.
We keep our runs small by choice — usually under 50 pieces per colorway, under 200 per style total. Most factories won’t even look at you below 500 units, but we’ve built great relationships with partners who get what we’re doing.
Then tariffs happened. Suddenly every brand in America scrambled to move production domestic, which means our partners — who are absolutely still riding with us — are slammed. Timelines that used to take a few weeks are now stretching into months. No one’s fault, just the reality of a system that got flipped upside down overnight.
We’re on it though. Our goal is to get our Bateman Shirt and Andy Rugby to you before September, and we’re not cutting corners to get there faster. In the meantime our Basement Jean and Hustler Tanks are ready for you and our Oli Sweater isn’t far behind.
