Your inner child will always find ways to show up—often when you least expect it. The challenge is that certain situations can trigger the very things that once forced your inner child to stay quiet.

So, how do you channel your inner child?
1) Be honest with yourself. Acknowledge it when it shows up. Reflect on what might be missing and how you can begin to fill those gaps.

2) Find an outlet that lets that part of you breathe. Tap into creativity—painting, music, design, writing—whatever allows you to express freely.

3) Surround yourself with like-minded, grounded, and intentional people who understand and respect the concept of the inner child.

The summer collection in 2024 was one of our favorites. Designs were inspired by the book “The Black Experience in Design” (must read).

It highlighted this idea of dismantling capitalism and centering design around black identity. It showed us how to reimagine community activism and ancestral guidance.

Excited to be joining the Literary Freedom Project this Saturday from 3–4 PM for the panel discussion w/ David Jean Philippe & Ruth Jean-Marie. They will be talking about The Haitian Blueprint: Founded on Inspiration while Building with Purpose, Resilience, and Innovation.

“David Jean Philippe is the founder and creative director of From The Arxhive, a Haitian-owned streetwear brand rooted in cultural memory, archival aesthetics, and the power of narrative. Through his work, David explores how fashion can function as both creative expression and cultural preservation, bridging community, education, and art. His designs transform the stories of the Haitian diaspora into wearable forms that honor the past while pushing contemporary culture forward.”

We’ll be exploring how Haitian creativity and resilience inspire entrepreneurship, design, and legacy-building. Excited to share ideas, stories, and visions that honor the past while shaping the future.
