A proud 1st generation Haitian American seeking to discover the history of our identities & challenging conventional ideas. This work is an invitation to deconstruct familiar symbols, reclaim overlooked histories, and redefine representation through a distinctly Haitian perspective.

My process behind this design was to deconstruct the symbol of the Olympics and recreate another version that is truly a representation of Haitian identity. The drum is the heartbeat and the flag is a symbol of resilience. 1928 is another year to pay homage and show our appreciation to those who stood tall in representing our identities.

Inspired by the unity of Toussaint and Dessalines, this piece honors the power of a shared vision and proving that when a community moves as one, it can change the course of history.

One thing I’ve learned is that when you create something rooted in your truth, it can never be misrepresented or forgotten.

This Haitian Olympian Part 2 concept is bigger than the Olympic Games. It’s about reimagining the people of Ayiti in a light that continues to shine across generations.

This design from the collection is titled “OLYMPIADE HAÏTI 1820 — The Citadelle Edition.” It imagines Haitian Olympians training within the Citadelle, where strength, discipline, and resilience are forged against the backdrop of one of Haiti’s greatest architectural achievements.

More than sportswear, this piece celebrates our brilliance in architecture, our enduring spirit, and the legacy of a people whose excellence deserves to be seen, remembered, and reimagined.
