Founded by Kai Bauer and Clementine Saglio, Not From Concentrate (NFC) is an antidote to the ethical quandaries many people face when searching for on trend clothing. NFC clothes are colorful, carefree, and for all body types and genders. NFC utilizes principles of eco-effectiveness instead of eco-efficiency. Instead of making an environmentally detrimental process "less bad", we shift the paradig

m by creating clothes primarily from used materials. If we cannot find used materials for embellishments then we source from POC/women-owned small businesses. NFC employs a triple bottom line to ensure that the business operates in the best possible way. We are also creating a fashion class and mentorship program at Rikers that will begin in Septemeber 2017 to aid young people during reentry.
