Vivien Ramsay is an alchemist. Ramsay developed her own pantone-like color s

ystem, harvesting the materials from the jungle and coastline in the
Philippines to create her own dyes. Ramsay and her team develop new colors and tones in the dye house under the watchful eye of a chemist. The palette is dictated by the season – ginger, flowers, Indian almond leaves, indigo flowers, barks, and fallen wood like mahogany and Hawili - all lend color extracted for pure pigment. While the flora and fauna of the Philippines determine the base colors, the form of her designs is the product of an uninhibited imagination and emotion.
