YEON

YEON Womens ready to wear Born and raised in Seoul, Yeon does not recall a time when she was not creating.

Inspired by her mother, who was an avid sewer, Yeon became highly skilled on the sewing machine by age 12 and began making clothes using her mother's leftover fabrics. As a teenager, Yeon developed a strong desire to learn English and see the world, so despite the wishes of her family, she moved to New York City at the age of 21 to pursue fashion design and attend Parsons School of Design. While

at school, Yeon held design internships with Thakoon, Proenza Schouler and Donna Karan. In 2014, Yeon launched her namesake label and spent the next two years researching and developing fabrics while apprenticing at some of the world's best ateliers in France. Today Yeon designs with a small team in her TriBeCa atelier, and then each garment is brought to life in France.
