Not A Store, But A Destination
To think it all started as a fun project in 2016, that our founder designed with a non-approved version of Mickey Mouse – The Defiant Ones. That was the first item that Swagmate published on Teespring. Which quickly met its demise on the dtg platform, once orders started flooding in; flagged and deactivated by their internal team. Fortunately, for a selective few, their orders made it to their doorsteps.
In 2017, our founder received a call via messenger from his buddy in Norway, who was extremely excited to receive his crewneck. To his surprise, his order was fulfilled and the level of quality was up to par with some of the best dtg swag in the game. It was in that very moment, when the spark to build a custom apparel brand was born.
