THIS IS A TRUE STORY. Colonel Bunning has something unexpected to tell Sergeant Diggs, and Sergeant Tagaleri is listening to every word.

Colonel Bunning had already pulled me away from the sick call pit to connect his iPod to his computer.

The task took less than a minute. I plugged it in, moved a few extra wires around, and prepared to return to my patients.

But Colonel Bunning wasn’t finished with me.

As he continued talking, Sergeant Tagaleri sat at her desk watching the entire interaction.

She barely knew me, but look at her face.

She saw the way Colonel Bunning looked at me. She noticed the attention he was giving me, and she listened closely as the conversation shifted from his iPod to my future in his command section.

THIS IS A TRUE STORY. Sergeant Diggs thinks she’s finished helping Colonel Bunning, but he has something else to tell her.

I was called away from the sick call pit to help Colonel Bunning connect his iPod to his computer.

It took less than a minute.

I plugged it in, moved a few wires around to make it appear as though the task required more effort, and prepared to return to my patients.

But Colonel Bunning wasn’t ready for me to leave.

As he continued talking, Master Sergeant Tagaleri sat at her desk watching the entire interaction.

THIS IS A TRUE STORY. Colonel Bunning really pulled me out of patient care just to plug his iPod into his computer.

I was working in the sick call pit, taking care of sick and injured basic trainees, when someone came to tell me the commander needed me in his office immediately.

When I arrived, Colonel Bunning asked me to help him connect his iPod to his desktop computer.

I plugged it in.

That was literally it.

The task was so simple that I started moving a few extra wires around just to make it look like I was doing more. The entire time, I was confused about why the commander needed me specifically and why I had been pulled away from my actual job to do something anyone in his office could have handled.

But he called for Sergeant Diggs, so Sergeant Diggs reported.

“All done, Colonel Bunning.”

“Thank you for your help, Sergeant Diggs. I really appreciate it.”

At the time, I thought it was just a strange little interaction. I had no idea that this moment would become the beginning of a situation involving Colonel Bunning and Sergeant Tagaleri that would eventually shape the rest of my military career.

This AI reel recreates something that really happened in my life. The scene is recreated, but the story is real.

And trust me, the iPod was only the beginning.

The photographs in this post are authentic pictures taken during my years in the United States Air Force, including my deployments to Iraq.

The reels you see me post are created with AI because I did not have a camera recording every moment of my life.

AI creates the visuals for the reels. It does not create my life story.

The people, relationships, experiences, emotions, and situations behind those reels come from my real life. Some conversations and details are recreated or dramatized to help tell the story, but these experiences belong to me.

These photographs show the real woman behind Young Diggs.

The uniforms were real. The tents were real. The hospitals, weapons, exhausting shifts, friendships, laughter, fear, romance, and deployment memories were real.
