The Hood Factory was an idea that came to our Founder, Bianca Tickner in 2021.

She noticed that Washington Heights did not have it's own apparel to rock and represent the hood. Other boroughs and neighborhoods had their own, why not ours? Having lived in the Heights for more than a decade she knew that her neighborhood was special too. So she created the Hood Factory so she and her uptown neighbors would have their own way to show up and show off.

But, the feeling she has for the Heights is not hers alone and all New Yorkers have this sense of pride for their town and their area. Having lived in NYC for over 20 years from Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan Bianca knows there is so much joy to spread around in ALL the hoods. And so, the Hood Factory brand is not simply for those in the Heights but for any and all those who call themselves New Yorkers! It's a way to gather and show off whats cool or niche about your NYC hood! Every Borough will be rolled out and represented!

The Hood Factory is a locally run company and we appreciate all your support inside and out of town. For those who live in the city, for those who miss the city and for those who wish they were in the city! This is for you! Celebrate the place you call home. NYC is ours!
