I organized a Harlem Renaissance inspired Photoshoot with my students where we explored style as a medium for self identity.Oh! The mustaches were a hit 😭 We learned about the creative spirit of the Harlem Renaissance, how it served the community and became a vehicle for authentic expression!! From the classroom to you 💡
Trusting the process takes practice because it requires actively rewiring your brain to overcome innate biological urges. We are evolutionarily wired to crave certainty, immediate results, and control over our environment. The “process” demands patience and acceptance of the unknown. Developing this mindset takes time, but you can train your brain to embrace it🌷If you’re in my classroom you’ll hear me say “Trust the process, trust yourself!” allll day long because students find themselves within said process.
