NYC Just Between Friends Just Between Friends is a maternity/children's consignment sales event! Shoppers and sellers are brought together under one roof, several times a year.

Hi Friends!
If you missed the NJ sale last weekend, here's another chance in CT.
HUGE sale and this video shows what came in last night - MORE items are being dropped off this morning.
Go stock up! Get some Christmas shopping done. Save a ton. Totally worth the drive.
AND, they need a little extra help, so if you want to stay and help out, you can get in to shop the presales.
Recycle, support other families, find amazing brands and SAVE, so you can stay in budget or use that money else where.
DEETS in post below.
xoxo

OK! I told you I would be sharing ...

The Somerset/Middlesex JBF (official name) will be at the NJ expo center this weekend: Edison, NJ.
Sale opens tomorrow. They offer free tickets and I hear there are only a handful left.

Here is their website:

Info on the original post below as well.

Check out their fb for live video tonight after they finish setting up and also for past pics/video - they busted at the seams in their old space and had to move :)
These are past pics from their events except for this first cutie and mama here.

Totally worth the trip!

Dearest Friends,

After much thought and discussion, we have made a hard decision and will be closing our NYC JBF event.

We spent the summer exploring options with local organizations to see if there was a way to keep the event going.

This really is a wonderful concept and to those of you who have come, we applaud you. We really do. Every season families show so much interest, but unfortunately, something about the NYC area makes it difficult for them to make it through the door.

For four years I have woken every morning with JBF on my mind...thinking about you all and how to get the event to serve more here in NYC. Hundreds of hours of brainstorming with Mauricio and others... (But Mauricio especially ;)

However, consignment offers a very small budget for businesses to work off of and though we have hundreds participating through shopping/consigning, it really takes thousands for it to sustain. Especially since we wanted to stay in the true spirit of JBF and allow all brands (not only high end).

We had been hopeful but the past few sales really have brought us to a point that we cannot continue. This was especially hard for us as we have gotten to know so many of you and feel, in many ways, that you are our extended family, here in NYC. You made our last event this spring really wonderful.

As for us, we are still here in NYC. Mauricio is still at Columbia doing research and I will be seeing what the months ahead have in store. We still have a heart and feel deeply for the struggle NYC families have here. We hope to be able to continue to serve somehow.

In the meantime, there are a couple of JBF's not too far by car. Great opportunities and really much much larger/more selection than you are used to with us, but same great quality - definitely worth the drive. I will be posting about those today. We are always able to stock up for our son for the season (and Christmas :) at these.

If you have questions or just want to connect, feel free to reach out!

Hoping you all are having a wonderful start to the fall (finally some fall weather!)

Sending you all big hug.

xoxo,
Shannon

I was just praying for a day where I didn't have sweat dripping down my back(side). 🙄
Hallelujah, that's all I have to say.
Hope you mamas are finding some relief!❤️

I'm so touched by this story and wanted to share... plus it might be helpful for some of you moms!

On YouTube she's known as emilynoel83
A YouTuber who has been working her channel for more than 10 years giving makeup reviews that are known to be genuine and honest. No sponsored videos, no ambassador partnerships. Just very down to earth...
She has close to 1 million followers and does it all from her home in Southern Illinois.
I'm from Southern Illinois! (Shannon Arias here) I have family from her area. She is literally surrounded by small towns and a college town. Far from any big city.

Guess what, she just launched a collab with Revolution Makeup where she was given complete creative freedom with seemingly no strings attached. She just launched 2 palettes this week $15 and $20 dollars. Very thoughtful... great for staying safe or letting loose. Knowing her, the formulas are high performing. I palette is for full face and you could easily hold in your hand on your commute (mirror included :)

Just so excited for this mama who kept it real, kept to what she believed in... turned down money that might compromise her integrity, didn't take shortcuts... and inspires other Youtubers to do the same. She seems like such a sweetheart.

Hoping this inspires you too mama, in whatever you do.
xoxo
Congrats to you Emily noel Makeup!
