I've officially entered my Balkan auntie era. ☕️🌺
So naturally, we're hosting a Turkish Coffee & Cup Reading event. 🔮
We'll have complimentary Turkish coffee and an actual coffee cup reader joining us. 🔮 🧿
I won't be reading anyone's future.
I can barely figure out my own. 😅😅

💠 This collection marks a first for Anatolico. 🧿
For years, we've worked with textiles crafted in our hometown in Turkey. This time, we stepped into something new.💠

Nearly a year ago, ceramic artist Derya Şenel ( ) and I began designing our very first Anatolico ceramic collection.

What followed was a year of sketches, prototypes, color tests, conversations, revisions, and patience.

Every piece is shaped and painted by hand in Izmir. 🌊
We created this collection with the Mediterranean table in mind. The long dinners, shared meals, conversations that linger, and the simple joy of gathering with people you love. 🍽️💠🧿🍋♥️
We hope these pieces become part of those moments in your home.
And now, they're finally on their way to our Anatolico store in Brooklyn.
We can't wait to share them with you. 🤍🧿🧿

🍋 Oya’s Lemonade Stand is happening tomorrow!
Our 7-year-old first grader Oya has been busy preparing lemonade and Turkish iced tea, and she can’t wait to share them with our neighbors.
Stop by for a refreshing drink, say hello, and support a little entrepreneur. 💛🧿

My Turkish mom came into the shop to pick her 3 favorite Mother’s Day gifts… which quickly became 5 😅

First: a colorful peştemal, because apparently she spends “the whole summer by the Mediterranean.” (And honestly… probably the winter too.)

Then a matching handwoven recycled plastic beach bag, hand-painted, one of a kind ceramic coffee cups for long Turkish coffee breaks ☕️, and eventually one of 's swallow necklaces because “three is not enough.”

Ended the afternoon drinking coffee outside the shop together 💙

Honestly one of my favorite parts of building Anatolico is getting to share pieces of home and moments like these, with my family here in Brooklyn.

When I first found Emine's work, I couldn't stop looking at it. There's something about the way she draws, the botanicals, the swallows, the pomegranates, that feels like it comes from the same world our textiles do. Like it all belongs on the same table.
Her studio is called Nysa Ceramic , and she works out of Aydın, Turkey, hand-shaping and hand-painting every single piece. We now carry her ceramics and a few of her jewelry pieces here at Anatolico and I have to tell you, they are even more beautiful in real life.
Come find us in Park Slope! 🧿🤍 (📍347 5th Ave Brooklyn)

Today we’ll be closed.

Anatolico was built by an immigrant family and has always been met with incredible kindness from New Yorkers... For that, we are deeply grateful.

Our hearts are with immigrant communities facing fear and uncertainty right now. We believe in dignity, care, and looking out for one another.

We also want to gently share that broad "no shopping" calls to pause everyday support can be especially difficult for small businesses who rely on daily community care to survive.

One meaningful way to stand in solidarity is by continuing to support local, immigrant-founded shops and makers, the places that keep our neighborhoods alive. So, please remember to show up for us tomorrow! 🙏🏼

Thank you for being part of our community and accepting us as a part of your life. 🩵
