Kora Mancini NYC

Kora Mancini NYC MAMA KNOWS BEST is my latest collection in partnership with Modern Vice, in memory of my mother Angelica and my grandmother Zina.

Although dedicated to all mothers and grandmothers, this collection is an homage to the dynamic power that is womanhood. KORA MANCINI hails from the country that gave the world Brancusi and has been a New York resident since 2001. This multifaceted designer began training in her native Romania, earning Master's degrees from Bucharest University and subsequently, Parsons in New York. After an exten

sive art career and successful renown in Europe, Mancini trained in footwear design at Fashion Institute of Technology. Upon completing her training, Kora was ushered into the shoemaking industry by Nathan Clark, the renowned footwear icon who created the famous Desert Boot. Her exposure to Clark’s fine craftsmanship is evident in her work and has inspired her career to focus on six benchmarks of quality; uniqueness, durability, relevance, aesthetics, wellness and authenticity. With this keen understanding of quality, Kora has successfully launched and rebranded for more than a decade, a wide array of domestic and international contemporary footwear labels. Kora’s eponymous brand gave her the right experience in owning a shoe brand, producing it and retail it. Her aim is to inspire and educate new generations on a design field that requires not only dedication, passion and perseverance but knowledge of the know how and the right approach to an industry field that is very rewarding as a career.

Honored and deeply grateful to have my video included in LOOK UP: Times Square to Venice alongside 60+ incredible artists from around the world.
This project is such a beautiful reminder of how art connects us through shared humanity, vulnerability, and hope — even across oceans. Thank you and everyone who made this exhibition possible.

"If I call it art, it becomes art." Marcel Duchamp said and the only thing I would add to that is "if I Look up I can see You".
I’m deeply grateful—more than words can express—to curator for selecting my one-minute video piece to be part of the LOOK UP project, which will be presented during the 61st International La Biennale de Venice, May 2026. See attached the press release.
