The woman behind Liz Skorsis.
Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, with Greek heritage, Liz has always had a strong sense of individuality. Growing up, she never wanted to follow trends or simply blend into the crowd. She was drawn to standing apart, finding her own style and creating something that felt distinctly her own.
A lifelong lover of jackets and beautifully tailored pants, fashion became a natural expression of that individuality.
Growing up around Melbourne’s garment manufacturing industry gave Liz an appreciation for craftsmanship from an early age and a deep understanding of the garment making process.
She went on to study pattern making, garment construction and fabric technology at fashion school before beginning her career in bridal couture. Her time working with Scanlan Theodore further developed her appreciation for beautifully made garments, quality construction and the importance of exceptional craftsmanship.
Today, as the founder and designer of Liz Skorsis, she brings together her technical knowledge, love of beautiful fabrics and instinct for strong, feminine design. Each piece reflects her belief that creativity and craftsmanship should work together to create garments that make a woman feel confident, powerful and completely herself.
And beyond the designer, Liz is a mum to two beautiful daughters, two of the most important women in her world.
