Traveling to and from to with a lap infant (under 2yr) AND a service dog, is no easy task! I was honestly so worried about this process - but after doing it and seeing it head on - it was truly not as bad as I thought. Choncho behaved like an angel and so did the baby during all the delays, airplane announcements, lines and security check points. It’s crazy to go from traveling solo to traveling with your pack, and a special mention to Aeroméxico for being respectful and kind the entire way.

Make sure to research your date of travel and airline and type of dog to get the correct documentation and paperwork in order as it’s an ever changing series of rules I had to navigate diligently to not miss any details!

Coming home from the hospital, I was anxious about how my 1.5 year old Labrador (Choncho) would receive the newest member of the family. I had researched a lot of different techniques on how to slowly and responsibly introduce a newborn to a high-strung, attention-seeking, strong-n-bulky canines, to a fragile, vulnerable, tini-tiny newborn in a two bedroom apartment 😆😅 after some youtube videos and tutorials, I found the right balance to have this intro go smoothly and cautiously

for those of you who have pets and are growing your family, I highly suggest these types of thoughtful encounters to create a safer and more familiar environment for your babies and pets 😆
