10 Years in the making.. I got into this industry after a decade in Fashion. From designer to Stylist to Model & Working for large retail houses as Abercrombie, Ralph Lauren and Armani.
One NYFW the show I was casted in overbooked talent and dismissed about a dozen models. I was asked to stay not for runway, but to meet a wine producer. I finished in hair and makeup got dressed and met the party in the lobby. I was quickly taught about a wine and was asked to pour samples for any adult that approached the table. To my surprise I ended up making double my expected pay that evening. That night I also learned about hospitality and what a little education in Spirits/wine can do for guests' experience AND my pocket. A week later I was offered a bartending Job at La Zarza . I was in heaven!!
I left the Fashion world, though remained fashionable behind the bar. I dug deeper and went down a few rabbit holes 🕳 with Italian Wines, Amari, Molecular Mixology, & fine dining to finally ending up here. The New Bar Manager at . It's never too late to start over.
