Viscountess New York

Viscountess New York New York-Based Fashion, Bridal and Accessory Designer and Illustrator. FAQs!

1. Do you take commissions? I do! How do I order a bow? Two ways:

1.

I take commissions for my fashion illustration, personalized bows, costume replicas, custom designed dresses, etc. Prices vary depending on what you need, deadline and my availability. Please send me private message and we'll talk!

2. My storenvy is now open and up to date! if there is a bow that you're interested in and is not listed in the store, feel free to shoot me a quick message and I will

list it! http://viscountess.storenvy.com

Which brings me to the other way you can order bows: By sending me a private message through this FB page! Let me know which bow you want, whether you want a headband or barrette, or other specifications (like red ribbon on the Wishing Bow or not, etc.) and you can send me the money through PayPal ([email protected]) I will also take a picture of your address once I've written it on the mailing envelope and send it to you to double check. Shipping is free unless it's a particularly bulky item (or if it's international), but that rarely happens, and I will always discuss it with you ahead of time.

3. Do you ship internationally? Yes, I do! The only thing is that you would have to pay for the shipping. So far, sending bows has come out to about $6.55 per small package.

4. How do your costume commissions work? Depending on which costume you want, I will give you an quote of how much labor will be, plus the price of materials, plus the price of shipping. For smaller costumes over $200, I might be able to comp the shipping domestically, but international orders are more expensive, which will be harder.

5. Tell me about yourself. Well, I am currently a college student, and like most college students, I am chronically low on money, so I do what I can to make ends meet. Because I am a full time student, it doesn't leave me with a lot of time to work on full costume commissions, but even that only contributes a little to the labor price. I'm a perfectionist and I put a great deal of time, effort and love into everything I create, and if you'd like me to break down the work that goes into say, one of my Dressing Gowns, I'd be glad to walk you through it. I love sewing and designing and making bows and seeing that the things I've put my heart into are also bringing joy to others. I truly can't thank my customers enough for their support!

6. I prefer to communicate through email, can you do that? Of course! I can be reached at [email protected]

On a related note, I don't recommend posting to the wall of this page. Those posts tend to get buried whereas sending me a private message through the page will definitely get you the quickest answer!

Viscountess New YorkxCollaborAzian's "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder!"

Last week I had the incredible opportunity to work with some of the crazy talented AAPIs from the new online concert of GGLAM for this shoot with photography by Mari Uchida! Ali Ewoldt (Phoebe D'Ysquith) and Diane Phelan (Sibella Hallward) are styled in Viscountess New York and Karl Josef Co's (Monty Navarro) wardrobe is J. Crew Mens.

The show premieres on Broadway On Demand July 15th. Tickets are available at https://www.collaborazian.com and the proceeds benefit causes.

I know it's been a hot minute since I played with everyone here on FB! Here is the finalized version of concept lineart that had been sitting in my 'incomplete' folder since 2013.

I am so happy I waited to finish it because the more my art style and confidence with my marker rendering evolved the more I felt I could do justice to this idea that I just loved so much.

🎨 The year started off with my sketchbook doodles from between shows at Moulin Rouge, then the shutdown happened and I finished a full for the first time in years, then I started my series and then the rest is history! Except for that part where the marker paper I used for 10 years is no longer being manufactured but here's to a #2021 with even more art!

Many of you guessed it immediately, my next piece is Sailor Chandler of the Heather Scouts (Sailor Heathers? Its a work in process 😆) I just think there is just something so beautifully tangible about art that's just plain marker, color pencil and paper. It's not a perfect process and I appreciate that photoship exists and allows me to fix things that just can't happen in real life (thinking particularly about the limitations of a marker nib bigger than the detail you're going for) however to present this piece I wanted to share both the retouched scan as well as natural light photos of some of my favorite details of the piece. Feel free to drop your thoughts below!
