IISE, which translates to “2nd generation”, is a brand dedicated to creating products with a distinct interpretation of both modern and traditional Korean culture. Each piece is made in Seoul, utilizing a combination of local fabrics, techniques, and a mix of Korean design aesthetics. Using high quality materials and a focus on craftsmanship, we strive to create wardrobe staples with special characteristics that make each piece uniquely IISE.

Our denim pant went through multiple rounds of design and fabric variations until we were able to produce our ideal version. The fabric is an over-dyed cotton that quickly fades with natural wear. Similar to the properties of raw denim “wear-to-fade”, the over-dye fades a lot faster, giving character as well as unique patterns for each of your wearing habits. The delicate nature of the coloring is the beauty in the piece and we’re excited to see the results of each pant.

This past year, we partnered with NYC-based Creative Agency to craft a cohesive brand experience from visuals to tactile elements. Their work included everything from packaging, store signage, logo design, a comprehensive website revamp, and custom hardware, among other things, ensuring that every aspect reflected our essence. Reworking our signature down JGR jacket, we started with modifying the entire pattern from the ground up for the optimal fit. We then upgraded the down fill to top quality Hungarian Pure White goose down and increased the fill power to 800 for extra warmth. The outer fabric was updated to a high-quality soft cotton-poly blend with a matte finish instead of the typical sheen on down jackets for a more muted look. Hardware has also been updated to include our new custom metal snap enclosures on the main pockets and zipper pullers.

Reworking our signature down JGR jacket, we started with modifying the entire pattern from the ground up for the optimal fit.
