At Lei-Lei, we’re in the business of empowering women to shop responsibly and inspire change—both here and around the world. Our journey began nearly 20 years ago with the birth of our son, Sean, whose unique cry of “Lay Lay, Lay Lay” touched our hearts and inspired the name that would one day define our mission. In February 2012, Lei-Lei was born—not just as a brand, but as a movement to uplift w
omen and children globally. With a lifelong passion for fashion and over 35 years of experience in the industry, I combined my expertise with a greater purpose: empowering women artisans worldwide. Partnering with talented creators in Nepal, India, Vietnam, Guatemala, Morocco, Turkey, and Kyrgyzstan, we offer handmade bracelets, jewelry, accessories, kids’ items, and home goods that provide economic stability, improve health and education, and help combat the trafficking of women and girls. Our collection has grown from beaded bracelets made in Kathmandu, Nepal, to include ata grass smoke baskets, capiz wind chimes, and silver jewelry from Bali; handwoven cotton and beaded accessories from Guatemala; printed bags from India; Peruvian alpaca plush animals and shawls; and eco-friendly baskets and upcycled accessories. Each piece tells a story, reflecting the artistry and resilience of its maker while promoting sustainability and fair trade. By shopping with Lei-Lei, you’re not just buying beautiful, high-quality products—you’re directly contributing to the well-being and empowerment of women and children worldwide. Thanks to the loyalty of our customers and the power of referrals, our mission continues to grow and thrive. We welcome the opportunity to earn your trust, deliver exceptional service, and inspire you to make a difference. Shop for a cause—it’s the best kind of shopping there is! With gratitude and love,
Maria & the Lei-Lei Team
