Since day one in 2018, tambay™ New York (tambayny.com) has been more than a clothing line, it’s a global community celebrating tambay culture with pride, creativity, and authenticity.

Lately, we’ve noticed some individuals and businesses in the Philippines, like a certain “tambay cap” reselling venture, presenting themselves as “Tambay” and claiming ownership of the brand. While we’re flattered by the sudden spotlight, we want to clarify the truth:

👉 Tambay™ New York is the only authentic Tambay brand, established in 2018 and protected under U.S. and international trademark law.

This means that products not coming directly from tambayny.com or authorized partners are not official Tambay.

We understand that some people may have good intentions in supporting local communities, but brand ownership is not something that can be borrowed or copied. Respecting creativity means respecting the creators.

💡 What you should know:

Trademark rights protect originality. Both U.S. law (Lanham Act) and Philippine law (IP Code, R.A. 8293) prohibit use of an identical/confusing brand without permission.

Buying counterfeit goods misleads consumers and damages the value of authentic Filipino creativity.
