A MÄFO is a Queen Mother, one of the highest titles a woman can hold in Bamileke and Bamenda culture of Cameroon, representing wisdom, dignity, leadership and service. I created the MÄFO Dress to translate that power into something women could wear, connecting heritage with modern identity and reminding every woman of the queen within.
