I know from the weddings and parties I have already attended this spring that women and men want to get dressed like they haven’t done in years. This is a gown I created for one of our best friends - the Nita - for her daughter’s wedding. It was an over the top Texas affair that warranted something glamorous and extravagant.

So honored to have wear our gown .

I’ve always been fascinated with pleating ever since I discovered my grandmother Kate’s chocolate pleated flapper wedding dress from 1930. I guess you could say this is an homage to the woman who taught me to sew and to the wonderful fashions of the 30’s a time that coincidentally shares so much with our current era.
