I made myself a tahini almond cake with vanilla frosting as an incentive to finish a large blocking project.
When I finish a significant portion of the project, I get to take the bite of cake. This is the only way that I get through finishing process.
Of course, if I don't taste the cake before I start pinning, how will I know that I'm working so hard for something that's actually good. What if I went through all of this trouble to eat a bad cake?.
The cake is good.
There will be hundreds of pins involved so it's a long night ahead. Check my stories to see what's going on.

You'll soon see what I've been working on all these months.

The venue was a presidential history museum with a lot of educational exhibits. I hope that explains yesterday's post with Lavanya in the oval office.

Classes in Nijkerk with Wolhobby were amazing!
About a year ago, Linda got in touch with me and asked if I would join her for a YouTube video. We had never met before, but we would soon be attending the upcoming Munich Knits event together.
In November we sat down for dinner together and she asked whether I would consider teaching classes in her hometown of Nijkerk.
Last week, we left Amsterdam and went to the countryside where Linda welcomed us into our home with a traditional Dutch dinner of stomppot, sausage and bacon. This is one of the most unusual opportunities to have while traveling and I'll always think of this experience when I make this recipe at home.
We did a total of four class sessions, mostly focused on brioche stitch techniques. The students learned the basics of the technique and worked their way up until they could fix mistakes in their brioche stitch knitting. Each day, we ate meals together and had a wonderful time.
Later this year, Linda will be organizing a KAL, so if you're a fan of and you'd like to join in, look for announcements.
🧶This is a great opportunity, especially if you are a Dutch or Flemish speaker who wants some support in your native language as you work through one of my patterns.
