End of one week & month. Beginning of another. OUR LOVE LANGUAGE.
~~~~~~~~~~
Once upon a time there were two countries, at war with each other. In order to make peace after many years of conflict, they decided to build a bridge across the ocean. But because they never learned each other’s language properly, they could never agree on the details, so the two halves of the bridge they started to build never met. To this day the bridge extends far into the ocean from both sides, and simply ends half-way, miles in the wrong direction from the meeting point.

THE POWER OF LANGUAGE.

Language is not only the words & tone of voice that come out of our mouth, language is our energy. Our energy is what we embody & embrace, influencing our body language, our style, our likes & dislikes. Our attraction from within. Language is our agreements.

Our agreements are our own unique language to ourselves, our own love for who are. How we embody and embrace ourselves. What we say to ourselves. How we stand in our own authenticity, truth, stories, and energy. There are people we have met that don’t even need to speak a word and we already know their language, because we know their energy.

The outreaching of hands, the hug we did not expect, the leaning into a conversation, the presence we feel. The intent listening to understand. These are all languages. These are the greatest form of love languages – to provide an energy that allows another to stand their own unique energy.

When we are not aligned with ourselves, our agreements become our biggest disagreements, our tone of voice changes, our words do not become our OWN words, our fears override our ambitions. Our energy is misplaced. Our bridges are never met.

Language is our touchstone from the deepest place within. It is our thoughts which co-create our energy, our agreements, and provide us a way of communicating all that is authentic to us and our meeting point with another.

End of one week. Beginning of another. THE COURAGE INSIDE.
~~~~~~~~~~
A day came this past week that many marked as a new day. A day that new leadership was established. The most prevalent part of this new day was not the transformation of one power to the next, but the difference between how this new power showed up. The most prevalent part was having the courage to lead with conviction in compassion and truth vs. conviction in covering up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The difference was operating as a whole-BODY vs. a some-BODY.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Leadership does not come from the mind. Strategy comes from the mind. Leadership comes from the heart. Leadership is courage. When we lead with the heart, we can drive effective transformation and change because the heart is our long-lasting connection point to movement with others.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
However, Courage is often unseen and unheard. Courage resides in our depth. Courage is finding access to our deepest vulnerabilities and exposing them and sometimes it is the simple act of exposing them to ourselves. However, to uncover these vulnerabilities, these fears, these inhibitors, these feelings that are constantly swimming but never finding either a destination or a release is how courage transforms itself to our individual truth and how we show up.

Our truth is our stories, our energy, and its only in standing in it that our attraction becomes real vs. surreal. Truth is always our connection point. It is our access to others and their access to us. Truth is our transformation in ways that are seen and are heard.

End of one week. Beginning of another. MASQUERADES.

At midnight on Christmas Eve, I stood outside with the white peaceful snow falling on my shoulders and listened to the church bells ring “silent night” in the distance – All is calm, all is bright.
~~~~~~~~~~~
ALL IS CALM, ALL IS BRIGHT. For a year that has pushed and pulled us in numerous directions, we had all the feels, you name the feeling, we probably felt it. As the year winds down and we reflect on where we started and where we ended, if nothing else, this year has brought us stillness, which has become our sanctuary.
~~~~~~~~~~
So with that, here are my personal quotes and lessons of 2020:
~~~~~~~~~~
1.When the universe has other plans for you, trust it, have faith in it, it will be your becoming.

2. Putting yourself out there is often filled with fear, do it anyway. It will be your growth.

3. Destruction of the old is often a mad process, but detaching from the past is the only way forward. New chapters must have clear channels.
*
4. Learn about your body, the way you move. Enjoy your body. Dance.
*
5. Meditation is the uncovering. Do it often. Breathe.
*
6. Understanding self-worth is a journey that we should NEVER navigate away from. When we know our self-worth, we can lead our lives in the most beautiful and harmonious ways. Self-worth should never be negotiated either with yourself or for someone else.
*
7. When doors are locked, don’t try to open them, they are not your doors. This has been one of the most exhaustive lessons through the years. Locked doors are lost energy.
*
8. Boundaries are critical. They are the edge of your values. Own them. They are a non-negotiable.
*
9. We WILL believe ALL the stories that we tell ourselves, good or bad. Until we know how to forgive the negatives stories and cherish the positive stories, our choices and options won’t change.
*
10. The wild heart is your essence, your center, your awakening. Listen to it.

End of one week. Beginning of another. THE GROWTH SPRINT.

This past week I had the opportunity to pitch my company to some of the foremost leaders of several industries. I was one of five finalists in this pitch and it was one of the most intense, focused, nerve wrecking moments of my career.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Although I did not win, the learning lessons and growth that came to fruition in one week’s time were worth gold. After reviewing the entire pitch, the mirror, (aka the gold) showed up. I have spent the last 20+ years of my life in corporate and that is exactly who showed up. The trying to nail perfection, the even keeled voice, the fact-based language. Although these aspects are never a bad thing and often very advantageous, however what I lacked was heart, excitement and positive emotions. What I lacked was abundance. What I lacked was color.

Where we lack is where the shadows live, where the work is, where the greatest change occurs. THIS IS THE GROWTH SPRINT.

When we put ourselves out there, we can’t just put a percentage of ourselves out there, we have to put our entire being on the forefront and operate accordingly. Operating with less than 100% means WE WILL operate differently. When we show up ABUNDTANLY FULL, we prevail.

Abundance is an attraction. Lack is an avoidance. Read that again.
