Miss Prism Presents

I sell my gorgeous handknit and hand-crocheted accessories! I love using Hi! I sing, dance, and play the ukulele.

I've been knitting and crocheting since I was about nine years old, and have been making beadwork since those halcyon days, too. In my daily life I'm a denizen of the theater...an actor in New York. I started my Etsy shop after many years of considering opening a business selling my yarncrafts, goosed into actually getting going by being accepted into the competitive NYC Craft Entrepreneurship Program in June 2014. Everything in Miss Prism Presents is handmade by me in my apartment in NYC. "Miss Prism" is from The Importance of Being Earnest, but the aesthetic of this shop doesn't quite match that of the character in the play. I arrived at the name by musing and brainstorming shop names that would evoke images of rainbows or spectra and "Miss Prism" popped into my head. What a delightful way, I thought, to pay homage to the great Oscar Wilde! And thus, the shop is so named.

“I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best.”
